Due to the nature of the palace software, it can be tedious for a first time visitor since you have to download the graphics and sounds associated with each room you enter. However, the strength of palace is that you only have to do this once. The neccesarry files will be in a folder on your harddrive next time you visit.
But to make a first time visit more enjoyable, it's a good thing to download roompictures etc. first.
The files below are room pictures for Mount Pelion Palace (at least most of them). Download and extract them with your zip utility to your Mount Pelion pictures folder...residing in the
Palace/media/MountPel/Pictures
directory on your harddrive.
NOTE: That folder won't exist unless you visited Mount Pelion with your palace client first. You can alternatively create the directories yourself. If you are on a Macintosh your StuffitExpander should be able to extract the files too...but your destination directory might be named : Palace/Media/Mount Pelion/Pictures.

This is a list of songs compiled by the operators at Mount pelion. You can download as many as you want, and use next time you come to Pelion.
The use of music on palace works like this:
Any user having the same song as you have will hear the song when you trigger it. You will hear song too if someone else triggers it.
To trigger a song you type in:
)nameofsong
in the command line in the Palace client or use your song list by clicking in your toolbox.
Now for the list of songs. They are bundled into zip files with 2-4 songs in each (each song being around 5-800Kb on average). You download and unzip, and then move each song to your Sounds folder for Mount Pelion or your general Sounds folder for Palace.
